Spring is here again! It is time to de-clutter, deep-clean, refresh and re-organize.

An eco-friendly cleaning is the best way to do it. Eco-friendly products leaves the apartment fresh, clean and bacteria-free with no harsh chemical residue or smell.

Whether you are in a hot or the windy chilly environment, viruses are airborne and easily move around leaving you vulnerable to the cold and flu virus. Sneezing, coughing and blowing of nose, a playground for virus to multiply. Therefore, an apartment is a safe-haven if you do not clean and sanitize. Places such as door knobs, light switch, fridge door handle, microwave handle are key areas of contamination.

Mandy’s Eco-Friendly Green Cleaning 5 simple tips to keep your home bacteria-free after getting a spring cleaning.

1: Make sure all mops, brooms and cleaning cloths are clean and sterilize.

Mops and cloths are breeding ground for bacteria and each time you wipe it spreads.

Soak mop in vinegar and warm water (not hot). The acetic acid in the vinegar is a good disinfectant, effective against such harmful bugs as E. coli, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus.

You can do the same with cloths and then leave them to dry.

2: Use vinegar or Eco-friendly any all-purpose spray to clean door knobs, counter tops, cutting boards, fridge door and microwave handles

3: Empty rubbish bins frequently and spray with disinfectant spray or wash with vinegar and water.

4: Vacuum and wipe floors frequently. Build-up of dirt is a safe-haven for germs

5: If you are getting rid of a flu virus, always change pillow cases and sheets as nighttime Sneezing, coughing and blowing of nose will contaminate them.

As an Eco-friendly Green Cleaning company, it is in our greatest interest to reuse and recycle items as much as possible. Therefore, It is very wise for clients to provide their own brooms and mops so they can reuse it over a long period of time. Brooms and mops can last for a very long time if kept clean. I encourage clients to wash all mops and brooms after each cleaning, let them hang to dry before storing.
